Opposed to the traditional virtual event, LDJ utilized a custom made site to produce the Keys Soulcare Lounge. In the lounge, guests were transported from Alicia’s living room where she would play tracks from her new album to an intimate conversation between Alicia and her close friends. The virtual environment embodied the intimacy of a community that Keys Soulcare so truly believes in.

UCSF relies heavily on generous donors to fund their groundbreaking research. In order to show their gratitude, UCSF hosts an annual gala featuring an extravagant dinner and musical performances from the world’s most sought after performers. LDJ was tasked with replicating an evening of equal caliber virtually. Guests navigated a self-guided journey through a 3D virtual environment that replicated buildings on the campus, each offering interactive touch points to view videos, articles and photos showcasing UCSF’s achievements. The evening also included top tier musical performances, inspiring speeches from university leaders and a virtual firework show.

Deadline was looking for a solution to elevate the user experience for their Virtual Screening Series, a web-series featuring interviews with A-list actors and entertainment influencers. The challenge was creating a robust and versatile platform that could be used highly efficiently and for a budget friendly cost, given the frequency of the events are often daily.

By incorporating a more user-friendly and versatile interface, as well as an experienced back-of-house team, LDJ was able to successfully push varied content and interviews out to the audience, creating a more elevated and streamlined live stream user experience.

Utilizing the LDJ+ platform, attendees were treated to a day of education in both general sessions and breakouts. Prior to the one-day event, a Learning Lab offered video and documentary content showcasing the latest product innovations as well as wellness activities. On the platform, attendees interacted with other aestheticians and SkinCeuticals brand representatives through networking and engagement tools such as Q&A, chat, 1:1 meetings and gamification tactics. The day concluded in an immersive environment recreating a NYC rooftop lounge. The Insiders Lounge featured a virtual dance party, mixologist lessons and a virtual photo booth.

Since 2013, LDJ has partnered with The New York Times, Andrew Ross Sorkin, & CNBC on Dealbook, a thought leadership conference featuring high-profile leaders and trending speakers from politics, business and entertainment. Every year, LDJ is charged with not only executing a technically flawless show, but also “to elevating and amplifying the experience,” while maintaining budget neutrality. Jazz at Lincoln Center and its expansive views of Columbus Circle and the southwest corner of Central Park play a prominent role in the visual design, even when we produced the first-ever virtual Dealbook in late 2020.
